Riflery
BY J.R. TILLERY

Riflery is one of the most exciting activities at camp. The campers are allowed to shoot 22 caliber rifles at National Riflery Association 50 foot targets.

Awards are offered by the N.R.A. The awards are given for three shooting positions. These are prone (lying down), sitting, kneeling, and standing. Most campers do not qualify for the kneeling and standing awards. Scores of 20, 25, 30, 35, & 40 points qualify for the prone position awards; and scores of 30, 35, and 40 points are good for sitting, kneeling, and standing awards, with 40 points standing qualify for the expert award. Campers are allowed to shoot 20 bullets each day at four targets. Ten qualifying targets are needed for each award.

Members of the riflery staff include, head Matt Page, Saul Solos, Brian Lifsec, Jeff Neri, Greg Schatten, and Steve Bratter.
