Trampball Hall Of Fame
BY BILLY STRAUSS

Here at Timberlane we’ve seen some very good Trampball players, and we’ve seen some very poor Trampball players. At this time we at TIMBERLIFE would like to distinguish between the two with a little column we called THE TRAMPBALL HALL OF FAME. We sent out one of our expert reporters on this assignment and he decided to elect three seniors and two juniors to our newly formed organization. Through his sophisticated survey methods, Mr. Strauss managed to talk to almost every camper in camp. The criteria is as follows: Juniors are kids of eleven years-old and younger. Seniors are twelve and older. At least 25 votes must be tallied for one person before he can become a member of the Hall.

In the Junior division, Billy Greenberg from Apache cabin turned out to be the most admired in the game. We talked to Bill and he commented about his nomination to the Hall.

“I don’t think much of it, “ he said, “but it’s nice to be in there.”
“What do you think is your most effective shot?” we asked.
“Well, I mix them up and try to confuse my opponent.”

Also elected to the Junior Hall was Lyle Feigenbaum from Indianapolis. He is eleven years-old too, has a very good drop-shot and spikes a lot of throws. Other juniors that were found to be good enough to be mentioned include David Raskin, Mike ‘Meadowlark’ Jacobs, and Nathan Schwartz.

The Senior who proved to be the best all-around Tramball player was without any doubt, Rob Stoler. Stoler has displayed excellent spiking in addition to his many trick shots. Running a close scond to the 15 year-old Stoler was 14 year-old Bobby Weiss from Memphis. Bobby has a very hard spike and is able to cover the tramp very well. Next up is Gary Winston, also 15 from Louisville. He also has a hard spike and is probably one of the best players in camp at the moment
*. Others that come close include Billy Clark, Jim Hiken, Bill Barenholtz, Rich Greenwald, and Steve Schacter.

This author, incidentally, did not take anything of monetary value from those elected to the Hall.
