THE ULTIMATE ACTIVITY
BY JOSH MERVIS

A new activity that was just invented a few years ago has come to Camp Timberlane. Ultimate Frisbee started as a regular activity at camp this session. The game first achieved popularity in weekend clinics during first session. The clinics were headed up by Pete Kaufman, so naturally he is the one teaching it this session. Also, for the first tie in a number of years, a new activity was added to U.N. and Pow Wow Days.

The object of Ultimate Frisbee is to get the frisbee from one end of the playing field to the other end, taking only two steps before passing it to one of your teammates. Many different types of throws and catches have turned the game into not only a sport, but also somewhat of an art.

Assisting Kaufman in the activity are trippers Jory Cahn and Scott Shovers.
