We Covered It
by Jim Goldstein

One dark, dark, rainy, miserable night, Mark and Shoppe were out of camp and Gary was trout fishing, “IT” came into camp. “IT” slithered down the camp road and covered Seminole cabin. After infesting that cabin “IT” attacked Wolf and spilled over onto Chippewa. “IT” devastated both these cabins. There was nothing to stop “IT” now. That day “IT” rested at the foot of the Duplex. Upon awakening “IT” devoured Blackfoot and Dakota. Five cabins had been attacked and nothing yet could stop “IT”. Winnebago was next and Hawk soon followed in “IT”s path destruction.

“IT” was terrible, not even Sioux cabin was spared. “IT” rested for another day. “What is ‘IT’?” you may ask. But “IT” cannot be described.

The suburbs were hit next. Even now I can hear “IT” attacking Apache cabin. The Rec Hall, even as big as it was, was still not safe from “IT” .

When I finally got close enough to “IT”, I found out “IT”s first name was Russ. The whole camp was covered by Russ “IT”.
