TIMBERBATS
by Tod Greenberg and Jon Brandstein

The Timberbats are the waterski team of Camp Timberlane. They are modeled after the world famous local ski team, the Min-Aqua Bats. They perform about three shows each session, one for Parent’s weekend, and two for girl’s camps in the area.

The Timberbats perform approximately fifteen acts including the five-man pyramid, the human caliopee, and the clown act. They also have some more uncommon acts such as shoe-skiing. Shoe-skis are approximately the size of cigar boxes, making for some treacherous ski runs.

The Timberbats are fun to watch, as well as to participate in. All skiers get a chance at the beginning of the year to try out. Old and young skiers alike make the team, so every camper that feels able should try out.
