Friendship

Perhaps the strongest quality emphasized at Timberlane is that of friendship. Although many come to Timberlane looking for things in addition to friendship, acquiring good friends is the most valuable asset that any camper can gain at Timberlane. An observation made by a writer, William Blake, sums up this feeling perfectly. It reads as follows:

I tried to find my soul
But my soul I could not see,
I tried to find my God
But my God eluded me.
I tried to find a friend
And then I found all three.

Much can be accomplished with friendship at Timberlane, and this is why the camp has been so successful for 16 years. A camp will not die until it’s friendship does.
