Photos Camera-Less
BY BILL FRIED

The photography classes this year at Timberlane have been doing more than just developing pictures. They are working with a new innovation called photograms.

The photogram is a type of print which has been done frequently at Timberlane during the last two years. The actual developing of photograms is a very simple technique. It is done by placing objects onto a piece of photographic paper and then focusing the enlarger light onto it. After the paper has gone through the chemicals, you should have a white shadow of your object on a black background.

After this has been done, you may sill add different color dyes to brighten it up more if you wish. Many campers who have taken photography have added this step. Some of their prints can be found on the bulletin board in the lodge.
