A TIMBER EXCLUSIVE!!

The above A.P. wirephoto was forwarded to us from the headquarters in New York; also enclosed was the following article;

WOODRUFF, WIS.-Camp Timberlane Director Harold Hiken, Assistant Director Joe Shneider and Assistant Director/Emeritus Randy Wynn are shown here going over plans for the new camper lounge that will be built near the Porcupine Mountains. The lounge will include a set of large screen color televisions, a library of comic books and sport magazines, and a concession stand run by A&W. The lounge will take seventeen years to build and cost and estimated 6.5 million dollars. To cover the cost of building the facility, each camper will be required to pay 12 dollars each night before he goes to sleep.

Hiken does not consider the 147 mile distance from camp to the lounge a major problem. “We will have runs with Jerry Deutsch leaving on the hour to get the campers there.”
