Home Alumn
Speaking of parents weekend, where is everyone travelling for
the ho-days (after Thanksgiving)? Do we have any multiple
rendezvous spots aka "hook up destinations"? As for me, I'll be
in S. Fla 12/25-12/30 Otherwise I will be here (Chicago)
watching Da Bears dominate!

Sidney, Marques and Kareem fever is back in Milwaukee
Correct me if I'm wrong...but there is a chance that if you add
the total victories by the Indiana Pacers and the Chicago Bulls
together in the 2001-2002 season--they will potentially add up
to the number of wins by the Milwaukee Bucks....

It's That Time of the Year, Once Again
Well, the remaining Memphis contingent is contemplating another
Heineous Weekend. This year's possible destination is the
growing community of Tunica, MS (Middudippy, for Pudder);
gambling destination of the mid-south!! The casino/hotel we're
considering has a very nice golf course, a full spa setup (for
the wives), swimming pool(s)if warm enough, shopping (big new
outlet mall), dining & entertainment. It's also just a
30-45min drive from Mempho, in case the casino scene just isn't
your thing. We'd like to know any/all opinions, interest &
feed back by mid Dec., so we can begin planning if there is
interest. Our initial thoughts are 2nd or 3rd weekend in April
(avoiding the real heat). Please call, e-mail or post your
input on the board. Feel free to call me (w)800-827-0827 or
(h)901-327-6438. We can do this as low key or as
extravagant(sp) as is desired. Spouses & signifcant others
are encouraged to attend. It's been more than a year since we
were all able to get together, let's see if we can put together
a typical Timber Bash!!! Hope to hear from ALL of
you!!!

Spring River Rrafting Trip in Taos
On May 30 2002, we'll being doing a 3-day 2-night river rafting
trip out of Taso, New Mexico. The cost of the trip is 450
dollars. This includes the guides, supplies, and food for the
entire time on the river. It's a beautiful trip and the first
night ends at a hot spring. Last year, John and Barry Hanover
came on a similar trip down the Upper Salt in Arizona. I've
already been in touch with the Hanovers, Bruce Gollub and Stu
Turnansky about this trip. It's a guys-only rafting trip with
some pretty intense whitewater. It is Thursday thu Saturday
after Memorial Day. If you're interested email me back. I don't
need a firm count til next spring, but I'd like an idea if
anyone is interested. Lee

JP...no offense, and I'd love to see all you guys, but
travelling across the country to go to Tunica isn't my first
choice (although the outlet mall does sound like a good time)..
I know N'awlins has been done before, but it seems a little
more interesting (albeit expensive) choice... or of course, we
could all just come to Memphis and trash your house again.

REUNION PLAYS WELL IN PEORIA (REVISED POSTING)
I say Springtime in Peoria, Illinois USA. Why the Heller not?
We're central to both Chicago-O'Hare and St. Louis-Lambert and
those traveling from the West Coast can fly United from
Denver-Peoria nonstop, so there! New Yorkers, you can fly into
Detroit-Metro and hook directly to Peoria, Atlanta people, you
can fly direct into Bloomington, IL and you Louisville/Memphis
folks can either drive or fly into Nashville or St. Louis and
then hook into direct flights to Peoria or hit the road and
DRIVE. Harry and my INDY, CHICAGO and MILWAUKEE friends, ya'll
can drive it as well. Festivities would include visits to all
(2) of Peoria's frisbee golf courses, outings to any one of 12
competitive real-golf courses, a trip down "South Richard Pryor
Boulevard" (and a possible guest appearance from Richard
himself), plenty of riverboat gambling at PAR-A-DICE CASINO,
where I know the Banquet Manager and we can get high-quality
cavier and expensive champagne flown in. Free tours of
CATERPILLAR, INC. also available for your corporate interests.
Pud maintains a HUGE fenced backyard for tent set-ups and
ultimate frisbee competition, a sizeable 3-season screened
porch for whippets and other fun stuff, and FREE women (for the
few of those who are unmarried). Should the tent set-up idea
have no appeal to your wives/girlfriends, I can easily book off
rooms at Peoria's grand Pere Marquette Hotel, where some dozen
U.S. presidents have spent the night. Additional attractions
would include a one-time visit to infamous Big Al's strip club
(conveniently next door to the Pere), visit to historic Moss
Avenue, home of a number of Frank Lloyd Wright-designed homes,
dinner at Peoria's BIG JOHN'S BBQ and a visit to Richard
Pryor's birthplace on Fourth Avenue. GO VOTE!

Packer Luck
I have to admit that our win today was a total fluke, due to
poor officiating and cheap shots by the Packers. I really think
that the Bears are the superior franchise, and will win the
division. Having lived in the Chicago area for the past two
decades, I'm beginning to appreciate how good I have it here,
and how glad I am to be away from those moronic Bucks, Brewers
and Packers fans.

A Timber Friend in Need...
Hi Guys,
First let me let you that I'm Stephanie Busalacchi (Drake)
aside from being a Timber-alum. I have also been best of
friends with Johnny Meissner for the past 23 years. This note
is to ask you for some time to send Johnny email he is not
doing well and loves his email. The naughtier the better. He
has 6 herniated disks and is in a load of pain. For now he is
trying to find a surgeon to do the operation. Bad stuff all
around. Anyhow, words from old friends will do a world of good.
If you know anyone else that Johnny was close to please pass
this on.

JP-the TV star
It is Wednesday night, another quiet evening in Memphis. I was
just watching the news with the little lady when all of a
sudden they start talking about sexual harrasment in the work
place and what is and what is not O.K. The first face we see is
our friend Joe Pierce "Professional" (according to the news).
When asked if a certian scenario is acceptable or not, JP
simply says that he thinks it is fine and slurs something about
"if there is grass on the field then she is fair game and she
must have been asking for it". A big Bravo for JP making a big
impression on TV.

Indiana certainly was a great basketball school. I learned that

Indianapolis World Series Champs
Moss, when was the last time Indy had a title? Auto racing
doesn't count because it is not a sport. St. Louis has the
Rams, Cardinals, and Blues always contending. What about The
University of Missouri? They will be there for years to come in
March. And of course, the Arizona Wildcats, who for the first
time in 10 years were not ranked in any of the major polls.
They are currently 3-0 beating 3 top 25 teams with 5 true
freshman in the rotation. I almost forgot the curent World
Series Champs. I can respect Knights accomplishments in the
1970's, but what have you done for me lately. BTW, I still vote
